Baseball teams from the University of Washington and Seattle University helped Seattle Children’s patients ring in 2024 with two surprise visits to the hospital in January.
The players spent time with patients in the Cancer and Blood Disorders Center (CBDC) and Seattle Children’s dialysis unit, bringing along new cleats and baseballs for the kids to decorate, which both teams will sport throughout their upcoming seasons.
The athletes also played games with patients and delivered fun swag to parents, caregivers and staff.
Patients and their families say the interactive activities truly made their day a “home run.”
